Huge Increase in State Spending Requested
According to the Billings Gazette, Montana government agencies have requested a $413 million increase in spending in the next two-year budget. This would be in addition to any pay raise for state employees, a proposed long-range building program, and an initiative to expand the Children’s Health Care Plan (CHIP) which may appear on the ballot.
